Short version: no accounts, no ads tracking, nothing sold.

Your location

Near me and Show my location ask your browser where you are. That stays on your device: it's only used there to sort deals by distance and put you on the map, and is never sent to or stored by Cheapskate. If you search by postcode instead, the postcode is looked up on OpenStreetMap to find the area.

Votes and reports

When you confirm a deal or tap Something's wrong, we save that vote, any note or price you type, and a random ID kept in a cookie, so one device can't vote on the same deal over and over. The ID isn't linked to your name or anything else about you. Reports are emailed to the person who runs the site so they can fix the deal.

Deals you send in

Photos and notes you send with Submit a deal are kept so we can check and publish the deal. Photos may be read by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to pull out the deal details. Please don't include people's faces or personal details in photos.

Services we use

The site is hosted on Railway. The map is drawn from OpenStreetMap-based map tiles, which your browser loads directly, so the map provider sees your IP address like any website would. Report emails are sent through Resend.
